William L Cauler III

William L. "Bill" Cauler, III, 92 of Lancaster formerly of Conestoga passed away Sunday morning, March 2, 2025 at Hamilton Arms Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Pequea on March 28, 1932, he was the son of the late William L., Jr. and Anna Steckler Cauler. He was the husband of Cora B. Rankin Cauler, celebrating their 68th anniversary this past August 5th. Bill graduated from Penn Manor High School in 1950. Bill was a longtime member of Colemanville United Methodist Church and went on many mission trips with the church. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korea Conflict from 1950 to 1954. Bill retired from the Armstrong Flooring Plant where he was an inspector. Bill was a licensed barber, working out of his house until the age of 80. He enjoyed catching up on the local gossip while cutting his customers' hair. Bill enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and taking his Dad out on the boat nearly every Sunday morning. He enjoyed attending the Cauler family reunions, going with his family to the beach and bus trips with Corie. A father to three girls, he was a firm but loving Dad, always making sure they did their chores. Bill will be deeply missed by his wife, Cora B. "Corie" Cauler and his daughters, Cynthia A. "Cindy", wife of David A. Morrison of Lancaster and Billie L. Hotchkiss of Washington Boro. He is survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jeff, Cody, Seth, Tommy and Katie and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Anna Sellers of Lancaster, Ruth Neff of Pequea, Jane Wissler of Quarryville, Louise Stevens of Willow Street and Carolyn, wife of Rodney Best of Willow Street. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela J. Reynolds; son in law, Thomas Hotchkiss, Sr.; brothers, Patrick, Thomas, James and Eddie Cauler and sisters, Emma Bussel, Mary Sage and Barbara Arnold. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bill's funeral service on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11AM from the Colemanville United Methodist Church, 210 Colemanville Church Road, Conestoga. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10AM to 11AM. Interment will be held in the adjoining church cemetery. Bill's family would like to thank the staff at Hamilton Arms for their help and kindness while he was there. Please omit flowers, memorial remembrances may be made in Bill's memory to Colemanville UM Church.
