Jose Sanabria Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jose Sanabria, 74 of Lancaster passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Anasco, Puerto Rico on November 28, 1947, he was the son of the late Eleuterio and Maria Vargas Sanabria. He was the husband of Carmen Melendez Sanabria. Jose was Catholic and attended San Juan Baptist Church. He had worked many years in Camden, NJ for Harleigh Cemetery. He enjoyed working on automobiles. He liked boating, fishing and motorcycles. Jose will be missed by his wife, Carmen; sons, Jose Sanabria of Camden, NJ, Jose Sanabria of Puerto Rico, Jose Sanabria of Camden, NJ and Jose N. Sanabria of Camden, NJ; daughters, Luz Maria Sanabria of Puerto Rico, Carmina Pesante of Camden, NJ and Merced Marie Sanabria of Camden, NJ; 2 step sons, Oscar Vazquez of Lancaster and Nelson Vazquez of Lancaster; 2 step daughters, Rose Mary Vazquez of Camden, NJ and Lucia Vazquez of Fort Myers, FL; brother, Manuel Lozada of Georgia and sister, Myrna Sanabria of Puerto Rico and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Norminda Sanabria. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jose funeral service on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2PM with Father Luis Rodriguez officiating from the Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, 317 E. Orange Street, Lancaster. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from Noon until 2PM. Interment will be held in the Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery.
