Luis A. Vargas Santiago

Luis A. Vargas Santiago, 77 of Lancaster, formerly of Guanica, Puerto Rico passed away Thursday morning, January 2, 2020 at home. Born on April 16, 1942 in Guanica, PR he was the son of the late Juan Maria Vargas and Teresa Santiago. Luis worked for many years at the former Host Farms, Lancaster in the kitchen. He also worked for Musselman's Applesauce. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering with cars. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Luis is survived by sons, Luis, Gregory, Jesus and Jose Vargas; Anthony and Alex Cooper; daughters, Gisela, Olga and Margarita Vargas; Elizabeth Rivera. He was preceded in death by his son, Jaimen Cooper. Luis is also survived by brothers, Zoilo and Eliazer Velequez; Early Velequez Santiago; sisters, Nancy, Sol, Magda and Olga Velequez. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services for Luis on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 12:30 to 2:30PM from the Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, 317 E. Orange Street, Lancaster. Interment will be held in the Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster.
