Harold F Bachman Sr

Harold F. Bachman, Sr., 90, formerly of Conestoga and West Willow passed away on June 1, 2026 at Green Meadows Nursing and Rehab in Malvern. Born in Conestoga on April 8, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Eva Frymyer Bachman. He was the husband of Betty Groff Bachman, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage together. Harold enjoyed raising animals and was a self-employed handyman and welder the majority of his life, owning H. F. Welding. Harold served in the United States Army from April 1956 to April 1959. He was a member of Amvets Post #19. Harold enjoyed hunting and was a life member of the Pequea Valley Sportsman Club. Harold was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a steadfast protector of his family. His children were the center of his world, and he took great pride in guiding, supporting and caring for them throughout his life. He was a father that could always be counted on for strength, wisdom and unconditional love. He created memories with his grandchildren that they will treasure forever. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Betty and by his children, Harold Bachman, Jr. of Holtwood, Jerry Bachman, husband of Ray Curry of Lewes, DE, Rick Bachman, companion of Tonya Sharpe of New Providence, Barry, husband of Lauri Bachman of Willow Street, Elsie Smith, fiancee of Barry Ream of Elizabethtown and Charlie Bachman of Conestoga. Nothing brought more joy to Harold than the time he spent with his 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, he loved watching them grow, sharing stories with them or offering advice. Harold was preceded in death by his daughter, Ruthann and grandson, Dakota. He was the last of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Frank, Ruth, Park, Earl, Grace, Mary, Clyde, Lloyd, Betty, and Elsie. Harold's love for his family was evident in everything he did. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, strength and unwavering love that will continue to love on through his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Family and friends are respectfully invited to Harold's Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 2PM at Pequea Valley Sportsman Club, 195 Rawlinsville Road, Willow Street, PA 17584.
