Nancy L. Fryberger

Nancy L. Fryberger, 78 of Martic Township passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on Sunday morning, January 18, 2026 leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and a legacy of laughter, devotion, and unapologetic BINGO enthusiasm. Born in Reading on April 28, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy Beard Matz. She was the wife of Howard J. Fryberger, Sr., with whom she would have celebrated 55 years of marriage this coming March 6. Throughout her life, Nancy worked at Willow Valley Retirement Home, but most important role was being a stay-at-home Mom who dedicated herself fully to her family. She adored her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to show off their photos.....to friends, acquaintances and even complete strangers who happened to stand still long enough. Nancy found joy in playing BINGO, visiting casinos and testing her luck while her husband waited semi-patiently in the car. She never missed her son's baseball games, even in adulthood. She was his biggest fan and the umpire's worst nightmare. She also had a Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love for all things Elvis Presley, a passion so strong it once resulted in a family vacation to Graceland, much to her children's lifelong amusement. Nancy will be remembered for her humor, her love of family, her devotion to the King of Rock 'n' Roll and her ability to make everyday moments brighter. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Howard John Fryberger, Sr; her daughter, Terri Lynn Storer and her husband, Joshua of Charlestown, WV; her son, Howard John Fryberger, Jr. and his wife Desiree of Christiana and her two cherished grandchildren, James R. Storer and Noah A. Fryberger, who were her absolute pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by several BINGO cards that were definitely winners.....if they had just called one more number! Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Stanley Matz and her sisters, Bertha Wagner and Betty King. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Nancy's Memorial Service on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 6PM from the Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, 3225 Main Street, Conestoga, PA. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5PM to 6PM. Interment will be held in the Spring in the Marticville UM Church Cemetery.
